In the last article, I covered two of the attractions that are in Haltom City plus a couple of the ones nearby. We’re going to have to look outside the suburb, and there are tons of things to do. You’re going to enjoy traveling around the DFW area with your family, with Haltom City as a great home base. Here are some of the interesting places that you might want to visit.
Sundance Square is located at 420 Main Street in Fort Worth. Let’s just say this recommendation is directing you to 35 blocks of fun. You’re going to find plenty of places to eat there, and you’re going to also find plenty of places to shop. You’re talking about cute boutiques and more that you will enjoy browsing for some interesting finds. Sundance Square Plaza is one of the points of interest there that you don’t want to miss.
Fort Worth Water Gardens is considered to be quite the architectural marvel, and you can find the gardens at 1502 Commerce Street in Fort Worth. You might want to take some nice pictures while you’re there, and people say that it’s a great place to visit no matter the time of year. Phillip Johnson is the designer, and it sounds like you and your family are going to be able to enjoy a beautiful and relaxing stroll through the park.
Have you heard of the Fort Worth National Historic District? That is where you’re going to find Exchange Avenue. This street is full of history, and you’re going to find plenty of stores to shop there. People say Exchange Avenue is a mix of a step back in time along with a little modernity. I suppose what can be preserved has been, and modern culture has made its way there, too. The avenue should make for an interesting visit.
St Patrick Cathedral is located at 1206 Throckmorton Street, and its a gorgeous church. The name reminds me of the one my family and I visited in NYC. There’s lots of interesting history to learn about this church in Fort Worth. You might want to stop by for a visit as you travel the area.
